About me

My name is Teemu Matinlauri and I’m a Finnish freelance illustrator and graphic designer. I graduated from the University of Lapland in 2008 with a Master’s Degree in Arts. Graphic Design was my major.

I’m currently employed full-time at Advertising Kioski as a graphic designer but do a little freelancing every now and then given that I have the time.

In addition to drawing pretty pictures, I do both print and web design.

I mainly use a Wacom tablet and Adobe Photoshop to create illustrations – often from start to finish. I prefer Manga Studio for digital inking and when there is a need for vector images I prefer using Adobe Illustrator. Still, I like to grab a pen or a brush every now and then too.

For design work I mainly use Adobe products, InDesign being the most important. For web design work I use the excellent Notepad++ text editor and the Uniform Server as virtual server during the development work.
