Revenge of the Tentacle That Touched Me Wrong

Yes, that’s really the title of this post. It’s actually an TV movie from the eighties – an erotic thriller that takes place in sunny Miami.

This was the sales pitch:

She was young, he wouldn’t take no for an answer. What began as harmless flirt, quickly descended into madness and sexual decadence of touching the inappropriate places. She had to do it, she had to cut herself loose before her precious hoo-ha would be breached!

Everyone thought she was crazy.  In fear of her hurting herself more they put her away. But she didn’t mind the rubber room. At least she was free of him now. And beautiful new life waited her outside, when she was deemed sane again.

And she wasn’t crazy. But no one expect her knew that. No one knew… until her doctor was accidentally killed by multiple stab wounds and was replaced by a handsome, young and passionate colleague….

This was done for U16’s "CTT – Turbo Mode" activity and the initial sketch is by DamselinDistress.

Undead Gangster

Well, this one’s pretty self explanatory. Tommy gun and all.

I could add, though, that I did some digging around with my old sketches, and this is actually based on a quick sketch from 2005. He used to be a card shark, snake-oil salesman or something like that back then, though.

Redesigning the Masters of the Universe

Here’s a bit more catching up with forum activities. U16 has had a “Masters of the Universe” redesign activity and already sketched these a couple of weeks ago for it, but only now had time to finish them.

Actually Skeletor is the main star here – or Aviator General Skeletor as I dubbed him with the redesign. The shoulder pads and the crotch piece of the original design reminded me of feathers, so I went for a bird motif. Conveniently, with a different name and color scheme he could well fit in another story as well. I imagine the world the MOTUs would live in would be a mixture of the Napoleonic era, WWI, magic and weird gizmos.

Aviator General Skeletor

And then there’s He-Man. He was kind of dragging himself along with the Skeletor design, but as you can tell he’s still slightly sketchy.

He’s hard to make look cool or charismatic like the leading man should be, considering the original design basically comprises of steroid muscles; sissy looking hair style from the Middle ages; S&M armor and solarium tan. He’s like Conan’s uncool, Californian little brother without any personality. I don’t know if my version feels any more like a person, but at least he’s wearing pants now. It’s way difficult to look noteworthy (well, in a good way anyway) when everyone else is properly dressed and you’re running around in your panties.

Colorful Sketches

Man, I’ve been busy lately! I managed to get the blog updated to Wordpress, but haven’t had the time to play with my new toy up until now.

I finally had some time to do some drawing just for myself, and here are the results. Doodles and sketches of my regular cast – monsters and women.

Nazis, Turbomen and… Giant Boobiess!

Here we have another case of things getting out of hand. It’s comic for yet another U16 activity, "sequential exercise". The comic may not make much sense without the previous pages so you might want to check them on the forum as well.

Shit, this was a lot of work. Deciding to do a Google Sketchup 3D-model of the castle sure didn’t help either – except the actual drawing phase, of course. It would’ve been faster to just draw the castle the old way, though – but maybe someone else can use the model later on as well.

So to begin, here are some sketches I did to get to know the characters and their gear – as well as the said castle model. You can download the Sketchup file for castle here and use it as you like.

Girls’ Games Suck

Seems like this is the Devil’s week. Not necessarily a good on for him but still…

These two pieces were done for yet another forum activity. The first one is my take on Scobot’s mighty fine sketch. It could either be just an allegory of life – or an epic depiction of how the rebellion of Heaven got started.

'And then these would like smooch!

And here’s my character for the next one to participate on the activity. It’s not fine or epic at all, but it’s really late and I need to wrap this up.

Visiting Paris

Whoa, look at me go – two posts in a night! I’ve always felt that making art based on a song is kinda lame – not as bad as quoting heavy metal lyrics, but close. Of course that doesn’t stop me from doing both – although I’m usually sensible enough not to admit it. Not today, though.

So without further a due, I present to you a tender moment captured in Paris. Enjoy the song, admire the image and feel all mushy inside.

Two Heads are Better than None

She once was a Nubian pirate princess, who’s ferocity was second to none. She killed men in battle, and men in bed. In fact, in the making of her doom, when she finally was caught, all the heads of all her poor, missing husbands were found – in her cabinet, reeking of blood, rot and misguided love. And as poetic justice was done, she too was sent to roam hell, lost and without her head.

They say to "kill the head and the body will die," but truly wise men know that death isn’t enough for someone who has a deal with the Devil and heads to spare.

For damned she is – but not in hell and no more without a head. Yarrr!

Jebe the Gladiator

Another one for the Eatpoo weeklies. He’s a gladiator, and a mean one too. If he seems a little unbalanced, that’s nothing compared to his mental state. The engine doesn’t probably help either, but let’s see someone try and headbutt him.

Monsters!

George CG came up with a great idea of drawing several fast creature sketches based on a brief description like
"4 arms, 3 eyes, insect wings, arms longer than torso, reptile tail, elephant legs, claws"

That was the description George came up with and I figured it’s good enough for me too. I took a little longer than George’s time limit of 20 minutes, but these were quick ones nevertheless. They’re called Keanu, Daisy and the last one just likes to be called "F".

I suspect I was receiving someone else’s acid induced flashbacks from the sixties.
